ARENA has a duty of care to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the health and safety of all our
workers (e.g., anyone who undertakes work for us), anyone in ARENA workplaces (i.e. visitors) and anyone we
interact with as a part of our work activities, is a primary consideration in any planning and delivery of our
business needs.
ARENA’s WHS Commitment Statement is available to view in our WHS Policy on ARENA’s Intranet, CONNECT
This policy provides the overarching health and safety direction and commitment for the Australian Renewable
Energy Agency (ARENA), as a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) in pursuit of healthy and
safe workplaces.
The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy is endorsed and supported by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and
provides the foundation for the agency’s Health and Safety Management Arrangements (HSMAs).
It is available to all workers and will be made available to other interested parties as appropriate (i.e., contractors,
